Expands the definition of simple assault to include intentionally touching an intimate part of another person for sexual arousal, gratification, or abuse when the victim is unlawfully restrained, unconscious, incapacitated, or unlawfully coerced

Simple assault conviction carries a fine up to $500 and/or up to 6 months in county jail

Enhanced penalties apply when simple assault is committed against protected classes (law enforcement, firefighters, teachers, judges, elderly, etc.) with fines up to $1,000 and/or imprisonment up to 5 years
