Requires public bodies to transcribe and release transcripts of emergency 911 calls upon public request.

Transcripts must redact the identity of callers and subjects of calls, as well as addresses, phone numbers, and other identifying information.

Fees for transcribing emergency calls must be consistent with fees charged under the Mississippi Public Records Act of 1983.

Requesting parties may arrange and pay for transcription at their own expense.

Takes effect July 1, 2023.
