Requires all persons age 12 and older to possess and carry photograph identification conforming to Section 45-35-7 at all times.

Acceptable identification includes forms authorized for voter identification under Section 23-15-563 or photograph identification from a recognized educational institution.

Penalties for violation include: first offense up to $50 fine or up to 10 hours community service; second offense $50-$150 fine or up to 25 hours community service; third or subsequent offense $150-$250 fine or up to 40 hours community service.

Brings forward Section 45-35-7 regarding state identification cards, including validity periods (4 or 8 years), fees, and citizenship documentation requirements for non-citizens.

Takes effect July 1, 2023.
