Expands the Mississippi Dyslexia Therapy Scholarship for Students with Dyslexia Program to include students in kindergarten through Grade 12, changing the previous eligibility starting point from Grade 1.

Requires local school districts to screen students for dyslexia in the fall of kindergarten and fall of Grade 1 using state-approved screeners that assess phonological awareness, sound-symbol recognition, alphabet knowledge, decoding skills, encoding skills, and rapid naming.

Allows parents or guardians of students who fail dyslexia screening to obtain subsequent evaluations from licensed psychologists, psychometrists, or speech-language pathologists, with results accepted by school districts for program eligibility determination.

Enables eligible students with dyslexia diagnosis to receive scholarships to attend alternative public schools or nonpublic schools of choice to access comprehensive multisensory dyslexia therapy delivered by licensed dyslexia therapists.

Takes effect July 1, 2023.
