Office of Workforce Development shall partner with Mississippi Alliance of Nonprofits and Philanthropy to create a prototype system for identifying, documenting, and assessing nonprofit organizations receiving federal or state grants and contracts related to workforce development and employment services.

Office and alliance must execute a memorandum of understanding detailing the scope of work, anticipated outcomes, and timeline for developing the prototype system.

All state agencies, institutions, and departments that award subgrants or contracts to nonprofits for workforce services, and all nonprofits receiving such funds, must provide requested information to the office or alliance.

Alliance shall submit quarterly progress reports to the office, which will forward them to the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Speaker of the House, House Workforce Development Committee Chair, and Senate Economic and Workforce Development Committee Chair.

Act takes effect July 1, 2023, subject to appropriation.
