Office of Workforce Development shall pilot the SkillPath 2030 Program in consultation with planning and development districts to teach high school students trade skills and certifications.

Program enables students to earn certifications for either employment in trade-related jobs after high school or transfer credits to community or junior colleges.

Four planning and development districts shall each select three schools to implement the program, with trade-related skill labs established for advanced manufacturing, information technology, transportation and logistics, and healthcare.

Office of Workforce Development shall provide all equipment, software, and instructional training necessary for skill labs and promulgate rules and regulations for implementation.

Annual reporting requirement to Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and legislative leadership detailing program progress, number of students served, and employment outcomes.
