Adds paragraph (28) to Section 43-13-115 to expand Medicaid eligibility to non-pregnant individuals under 65 years of age whose income does not exceed 133% of the federal poverty level, who are not entitled to or enrolled in Medicare benefits, and who are not eligible under any other Medicaid category.

Individuals eligible under the new paragraph (28) shall receive benchmark coverage or benchmark equivalent coverage as described in Section 1937(b) of the federal Social Security Act.

Expands Medicaid eligibility under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act by making coverage available to a broader population based on income thresholds rather than categorical eligibility requirements.

The Division of Medicaid shall determine eligibility for individuals covered under paragraph (28).

Takes effect July 1, 2023.
