HB 991 Summary

• Amends Mississippi Code sections 43-13-107, 43-13-113, 43-13-117.1, and 43-13-122 relating to the Medicaid program to make minor, nonsubstantive changes.

• Brings forward eleven additional Medicaid-related code sections (43-13-103, 43-13-105, 43-13-109, 43-13-116, 43-13-117, 43-13-120, 43-13-121, 43-13-123, 43-13-125, 43-13-139, and 43-13-145) for possible future amendment by the Legislature.

• Corrects a grammatical error in Section 43-13-117.1 regarding nursing facility resident participation in home- and community-based waiver services.

• Corrects a grammatical error in Section 43-13-122 regarding the Division of Medicaid's authorization to apply for waivers and grants.

• Takes effect July 1, 2023, with most provisions set to expire July 1, 2024.
