Recognizes and commends the Jackson State University Tigers Football Team, Head Coach Deion Sanders, and coaching staff for winning their second consecutive Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Championship in 2022.

Acknowledges the Tigers' 12-0 regular season record, 8-0 conference division record, and 43-24 victory over Southern University on December 3, 2022, at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium before 53,754 spectators.

Honors 19 student-athletes named to All-SWAC teams, including Shedeur Sanders (Offensive Player of the Year), Aubrey Miller Jr. (Defensive Player of the Year), and Kevin Coleman Jr. (Freshman of the Year).

Commends Jackson State University's 90% Graduation Success Rate (highest in SWAC and tied for highest in Mississippi) and academic achievement with more than 150 student-athletes maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA in Fall 2022.

Recognizes Jackson State University's commitment to diversity and inclusion as reflected in its student body and achievements such as appointing the first Hispanic head drum major and first Hispanic Prancing J-Sette performers.
