Commends and congratulates Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Coahoma County on its 122nd anniversary, organized March 14, 1901, under Reverend John Roberson's leadership.

Acknowledges the church's history including its destruction by fire in 1962, rebuilding completed April 17, 1964, and construction of a new facility completed in 2004.

Recognizes the church's spiritual leaders including Reverends Scott, L.L. Laws, J.W. Wims, Percy Jackson, J.C. Curley, Clarence H. Grainger, Leroy Carter, Anthony Nollie, Gregory U. Banks, and current Elder Emmanual L. Boone, Sr.

Recognizes the church as a dedicated place of worship and cornerstone in the community committed to promoting Christian faith and serving as a spiritual haven for residents of all ages.

Directs copies of the resolution be provided to Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church and the Capitol Press Corps.
