Commends the Lamar Academy "Raiders" girls volleyball team for winning their first Midsouth Association of Independent Schools (MAIS) Division II 5A State Championship on October 19, 2022.

The team swept Simpson Academy 3-0 in the championship match at Mississippi College after earning a first-round playoff bye and defeating Madison St. Joe 3-0.

Recognizes Head Coach Courtney Schimelpfening and Assistant Coach Alex Schimelpfening for their leadership in achieving the championship after the team lost in the state championship the previous year.

Names the 13-member championship roster including seniors Harleigh Gray, Carley Rolison, Kaylee Brown, and Ava Temple.

Directs that copies of the resolution be provided to Coach Schimelpfening, Lamar Academy Headmaster Leigh Ann Ballou and Board of Trustees, and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
