Mourns the passing of former Representative Leonard Henderson of Clarksdale, Mississippi, who died on March 4, 2023, at age 78

Honors Henderson's career as an educator and coach, including serving as athletic director and basketball coach at Coahoma Agricultural High School (60-10 record) and assistant coach at Mississippi Valley State University (75-56 record over five seasons)

Recognizes his service as State Representative for District 26 (Coahoma County) from 1996-2000, where he served on the Agriculture, Education, and Interstate Cooperation committees

Acknowledges his extensive civic involvement including the Mississippi Legislative Black Caucus, American Legion Post #203, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, and various educational associations

Expresses sympathy to his survivors including wife Cal Couthern Henderson, children Brian James and Leonette Henderson, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild
