Honors Right Reverend Brian R. Seage upon his retirement as Bishop of the Episcopal Church in Mississippi, recognizing his dedication to ministry and service to the state.

Seage was elected as the 10th Bishop of Mississippi on May 3, 2014, succeeding Right Reverend Duncan M. Gray, III in February 2015, and oversaw 89 congregations, three colleges, and multiple day schools throughout the state.

Prior to his episcopacy, Seage served as curate at St. John's Episcopal Church in Ocean Springs (1997-1998) and rector at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Diamondhead (1998-2005), where he doubled average Sunday attendance and completed a successful building program.

Seage holds an undergraduate degree from Pepperdine University and a master's of divinity from Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest, and served as a camp director at Camp Bratton-Green and a member of various diocesan committees.

Directs the House of Representatives to furnish copies of the resolution to Right Reverend Seage and the Capitol Press Corps.
