Commends the Tougaloo College "Bulldogs" men's basketball team for winning the 2022-2023 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) Regular Season and Tournament Championships and the NAIA Opening Rounds Championship.

Team finished with a 32-2 regular season record, including a perfect 14-0 GCAC record, marking the program's first 30-plus game winning season and first NAIA National Tournament Opening Rounds Championship.

Cameron Copeland named 2023 GCAC Player of the Year and All-America Second Team; Trajan Fielder and Cameron Woodall named All-GCAC Second Team; Darryl Jones named All-GCAC Second Team and All-Defensive Team.

Head Coach Eric Strothers named 2023 GCAC Coach of the Year and Assistant Coach Thomas Billups named 2023 GCAC Assistant Coach of the Year.

Directs copies of the resolution be furnished to Head Coach Strothers, all assistant coaches, college President Carmen J. Walters, and the Capitol Press Corps.
