Recognizes and commends Dr. Daphine G. Hill, an adjunct professor in urban and regional planning at Jackson State University and Development Director for Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Mississippi, for her career accomplishments and awards.

Dr. Hill holds degrees including a bachelor's in accounting from Millsaps College, a master's in political science, a Ph.D. in planning from Jackson State University, and a client executive certification from Harvard University.

Dr. Hill has authored publications including "The Many Faces of Hazlehurst, A History of Hazlehurst, Mississippi" and her dissertation on historic housing tax credits to address housing affordability in Jackson, Mississippi.

Dr. Hill holds memberships in numerous local, state, and national organizations focused on historic preservation, planning, community development, and civic engagement.

Dr. Hill has received multiple awards including the Boys and Girls Clubs Regional Council CARE Award (2022), Mississippi Heritage Trust Award (2018), President's Volunteer Service Award, and recognition for academic achievement and contributions to urban and regional planning.
