Commends Mr. Floyd Shankerman for his exceptional service as owner of Shankerman's, a men's wear store in Clarksdale, Mississippi that has been in business for over 100 years.

Recognizes the three-generation family business founded in 1919 by Mr. Shankerman's grandfather Abraham, continued by his father Phillip from 1920 until 1985, and operated by Mr. Shankerman since 1985.

Notes Mr. Shankerman's personal accomplishments including attendance at Delta State University as a pitcher in 1958, expertise as a coin collector, and involvement in his church community.

Honors Mr. Shankerman's continued dedication at age 83, working six days a week and maintaining the store's reputation throughout the Mississippi Delta region.

Directs that copies of the resolution be provided to Mr. Shankerman and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
