Honors the life and legacy of Mr. Norman Goetzmann Stevens, Jr., of Mount Olive, Mississippi, who passed away on April 24, 2022, and expresses deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

Recognizes his accomplishments including being a standout quarterback at Picayune High School (state championship in 1948) and Louisiana State University (MVP in senior season, 1950-1953), and his service as a First Lieutenant in the United States Air Force.

Acknowledges his decades-long career in highway construction and materials, helping build major highways and interstates across Mississippi and bordering states, and his service in leadership positions on industry, civic, and philanthropic boards.

Highlights his deep faith and dedication to Mount Olive Presbyterian Church as a presiding elder, his devotion to his two wives (Martha Sue Blain and Elizabeth Wagner), and his role as a devoted father to five children.

Directs that copies of this resolution be furnished to the family of Mr. Norman Goetzmann Stevens, Jr., and to members of the Capitol Press Corps.
