House acknowledges and commends Dr. Pam Chatman for outstanding community service and contributions benefiting Mississippi citizens.

Dr. Chatman assisted more than 4,000 low-income families in the Mississippi Delta and North Mississippi during 2022 through her organization Boss Lady Economic Planning Development Workforce Transportation.

Dr. Chatman coordinated multiple assistance programs in 2022 including rental assistance, home improvement initiatives, food distribution to over 5,000 families, emergency housing assistance, and workforce development partnerships creating more than 1,000 jobs.

Dr. Chatman created the first Broadband Fiber Optic Workforce Training program in the Mississippi Delta and partnered with major foundations (Kellogg, Walton, Foundation of the Mid-South) to develop sustainable workforce training across rural areas.

Rust College dedicated and named its Broadcasting Operation Building in her honor for becoming Mississippi's first African-American female news director.
