Recognizes and commends Dr. Vernon Rayford of Tupelo, Mississippi for his leadership and contributions during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Notes Dr. Rayford graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 2009 and has served as a primary care physician in rural North Mississippi communities.

Acknowledges Dr. Rayford's co-founding of the Northeast Mississippi Coalition Against COVID-19 to address vaccine hesitancy, increase vaccine access, and combat health inequities.

Praises Dr. Rayford's collaboration with community partners on COVID-19 vaccinations, mobile vaccination clinics, and efforts addressing social determinants of health including housing, education, and healthcare access.

Directs copies of the resolution be furnished to Dr. Rayford, the State Department of Health, and Capitol Press Corps.
