Authorizes courts to direct respondents in domestic abuse protection orders to refrain from abusing any companion animal belonging to the petitioner or household

Allows courts to grant possession of personal property (including pets) to the petitioner, excluding the respondent

Adds "harming" to the list of prohibited actions regarding mutually owned or leased property in temporary protection orders

Effective date: July 1, 2023
