Amends Section 89-1-23 of the Mississippi Code to prohibit nonresident aliens who are citizens of countries hostile to U.S. interests or known human rights violators from holding, disposing of, or transmitting land by descent.

Maintains existing provisions allowing resident aliens to acquire and hold land on equal terms with state citizens.

Preserves exceptions for nonresident aliens to acquire up to 320 acres for industrial development and up to 5 acres for residential purposes.

Allows nonresident aliens who are citizens of Syria or the Lebanese Republic to inherit property from Mississippi citizens or residents.

Effective date is July 1, 2023.
