Authorizes education employees (staff at K-12 schools, charter schools, private schools, universities, and community colleges) to store, distribute, and administer opioid antagonists like naloxone to individuals believed to be experiencing an overdose

Allows the Mississippi Department of Health to distribute opioid antagonists to education employees upon written request

Grants civil and criminal immunity to education employees who store, distribute, or administer opioid antagonists in good faith and with reasonable care

Extends immunity to any person who administers an opioid antagonist distributed by an education employee or who stores such an antagonist

Effective date of July 1, 2023
