MS SB2410

Provides $2,400 annually in supplementary pay to sworn, certified law enforcement officers employed full-time by accredited state, municipal, or county law enforcement agencies who have completed 5 years of service.

Requires the employing law enforcement agency to maintain accreditation status for officers to receive the supplemental pay.

Specifies that supplemental pay is in addition to all other compensation and cannot be used to reduce or diminish pay from any other funding sources.

Creates the "Law Enforcement Officers Accreditation Supplemental Pay Fund" in the State Treasury to distribute the supplementary pay, with unexpended amounts carrying over each year and interest earnings credited to the fund.

Directs the Department of Public Safety to adopt necessary rules and regulations in consultation with the Mississippi Association of Chiefs of Police and Mississippi Sheriffs Association, effective July 1, 2023.
