Amends Section 27-19-48 of the Mississippi Code to exempt veterans from paying additional fees for personalized license tags and renewals.

Veterans must submit a proper identification card issued by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs to qualify for the exemption.

Current additional fees for personalized tags are $30.00 for standard tags and $50.00 for alternative black background tags with white pinstripe border.

Fee revenue is distributed to the State General Fund and State Highway Fund for standard tags, and to the Law Enforcement Officers and Fire Fighters Death Benefits Trust Fund and State Highway Fund for alternative tags.

Effective July 1, 2023.
