Requires offenders placed on supervised probation or parole to agree to a waiver authorizing warrantless searches of their person, residence, or motor vehicle by law enforcement, Department of Corrections, parole, or probation officers at any time for weapon or firearm-related violations under Title 97, Chapter 35.

Warrantless searches under the waiver must be conducted in a reasonable manner but do not require articulable suspicion that the offender is committing or has committed a criminal offense.

Offenders must acknowledge and sign the waiver before release as a condition of probation or parole; those who refuse to sign are ineligible for supervised probation or parole.

Defines "residence" to include garages and outbuildings on the property of a residence.

Takes effect July 1, 2023.
