• Allows retired teachers who completed 30+ years of creditable service to return to work in public schools after being retired for at least 12 months and continue receiving their retirement allowance while earning a teacher's salary.

• Limits reemployment under this provision to a maximum of 5 years.

• Requires reemployed teachers to notify the retirement system executive director of their choice to continue receiving retirement benefits and prohibits them from becoming contributing members or earning additional creditable service.

• Requires the employer to pay both the employer's portion and employee's portion of retirement contributions for reemployed teachers, based on the contribution rate in Section 25-11-123.
