Authorize 100% permanently disabled veterans to purchase one lifetime motor vehicle license plate or tag and/or one lifetime motorcycle license plate or tag free of charge in their county of legal residence.

Revise disability rating requirements for discounted plates from 75% to between 75-99% nonpermanent service-connected disability, allowing annual purchase of two motor vehicle plates or tags and one motorcycle plate or tag for $1.00 each.

Require veterans with 75-99% nonpermanent disability ratings to provide updated benefits letters from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs at renewal to verify their rating has not dropped below 75%.

Modify Section 27-19-56.444 to exclude veterans rated at 100% permanent or 75-99% nonpermanent disability from obtaining distinctive license tags under that section, as they qualify for benefits under Section 27-19-53 instead.

Maintain exemptions from ad valorem and privilege taxes for vehicles registered under this section, with surviving spouses retaining eligibility to renew plates for up to two motor vehicles and one motorcycle as long as they remain unmarried.
