MS SB2715

Adds a new item 51 to the definition of "qualified resort area" under Mississippi Code Section 67-1-5(o)(iii) to include any municipality bordered on the east by the Pascagoula River and on the south by the Mississippi Sound.

Allows municipalities described in item 51 (and existing items 6, 21, 24-30, 34-39, 46, and 48) to adopt ordinances specifying hours of operation, food revenue percentages, and designated areas for alcoholic beverage sales within their qualified resort areas.

Brings forward Section 67-1-51 of the Mississippi Code regarding alcoholic beverage permits for possible amendment.

Effective date is July 1, 2023.
