Adds a religious exemption to Mississippi's school vaccination requirements, allowing parents or guardians to submit a letter or affidavit stating vaccinations conflict with their religious beliefs.

The exemption letter must document which vaccinations have been given and which have been refused, include reasons for the religious exemption, and state whether the objection applies to some or all vaccinations.

Requires the exemption letter to include statements that the parent or guardian has been informed of vaccination risks and benefits by a health care practitioner and school district.

Permits the Department of Health or local health officer to remove unvaccinated children from school during disease outbreaks and prevent their return until the outbreak is resolved.

Effective July 1, 2023.
