MS SB2821

Amends Section 73-23-43, Mississippi Code of 1972, to grant the State Board of Physical Therapy authority to issue subpoenas for witness testimony and production of documents, records, or other evidence.

Authorizes board members to administer oaths or affirmations to witnesses appearing before the board.

Allows any court of competent jurisdiction in Mississippi to enforce subpoenas through the same procedures used for enforcing witness attendance and testimony in civil cases if a subpoenaed person fails or refuses to comply.

Effective July 1, 2023.
