Deletes all state assessments previously directed to the State General Fund from traffic violations, implied consent law violations, game and fish law violations, misdemeanors, and felonies under Section 99-19-73.

Eliminates the provision requiring expungement fees to be deposited into the State General Fund, while maintaining the $150.00 filing fee structure with $100.00 to Judicial System Operation Fund and $40.00 to District Attorneys Operation Fund.

Retains additional assessments for railroad crossing violations ($25.00 to Operation Lifesaver Fund), drug violations ($25.00 to Drug Evidence Disposition Fund and $2.00 to Mississippi Foster Care Fund), and motor vehicle insurance violations ($200-$400.00 to Uninsured Motorist Identification Fund).

Maintains existing procedures for collection and monthly deposit of remaining assessments by county and municipal clerks, with the Department of Finance and Administration distributing funds to proper special funds rather than the State General Fund.

Takes effect July 1, 2023.
