Honors the December 15, 2023 passing of retired OB-GYN Dr. Freda McKissic Bush, M.D., of Jackson, Mississippi, a prominent anti-abortion advocate.

Dr. Bush graduated from University of Mississippi Medical School, completed residency at University of Tennessee in Memphis, and practiced at East Lakeland OB-GYN Associates starting in 1987 while serving as Clinical Instructor at University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Co-authored two books on sexual health and relationships: "HOOKED, New Science on How Casual Sex Is Affecting Our Children" and "Girls Uncovered, New Research on What America's Sexual Culture Does to Young Women," and contributed to publications on teen pregnancy prevention.

Served as President and CEO of the Medical Institute for Sexual Health, member of the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Presidential appointee to the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS, and chair of Mississippi Governor's Blue Ribbon Task Force on Teen Pregnancy Prevention Medical Advisory Subcommittee.

Directs presentation of resolution to surviving family, University of Mississippi School of Medicine CEO, and East Lakeland OB-GYN Associates Director.
