Recognizes and commends Dr. Roy J. Duhe of Tupelo, Mississippi, for his instrumental work on colon cancer initiatives at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC)

Credits Dr. Duhe with establishing the Mississippi Colon Cancer Roundtable (in association with the American Cancer Society), the first state colon cancer license plate in the nation, and the "70 by 2020" screening initiative

Notes that colon cancer screening rates in Mississippi increased from 52% to over 70% following Dr. Duhe's "70 by 2020" initiative, significantly improving public health outcomes

Directs the State Board of Health to continue disseminating public information about colon cancer dangers and the importance of screening

Calls for the resolution to be presented to Dr. Duhe and his family, forwarded to the UMMC Dean, and provided to the Capitol Press Corps
