Concurrent resolution mourning the passing of Wirt Adams Yerger, Jr., of Jackson, Mississippi, who died on May 2, 2022.

Recognizes Yerger's 48-year leadership at Ross & Yerger, Inc. (founded 1860), Mississippi's first insurance agency, which grew from 3 to 53 employees under his direction.

Commends his role as leader in establishing the Republican Party in Mississippi, serving as State Chairman of the Mississippi Republican Party from 1956 to 1966 and later as Party Chairman Emeritus.

Acknowledges his extensive civic contributions including founding the Metropolitan Crime Commission and Fondren Renaissance Foundation, serving as past president of the Metropolitan Boys Club, Metropolitan YMCA, and Jackson Rotary Club.

Directs presentation of the resolution to Yerger's surviving family, the Mississippi Association of Insurance Agents, Jackson Chamber of Commerce, Jackson Rotary Club, and Capitol Press Corps.
