Extends Mississippi Senate recognition to the Robert M. Hearin Support Foundation as the 2023 recipient of the Stephen C. Edds Patron of the Arts Award.

Foundation's Annie Laurie Swaim Hearin Memorial Exhibition Series at the Mississippi Museum of Art has operated for 30 years and attracted over 700,000 visitors, with 40 percent from outside Jackson.

Supported exhibitions include works featuring Van Gogh, Monet, Degas, and the "Great Migration" series, which received national media coverage in The New York Times.

Foundation mission includes funding four-year colleges and universities in Mississippi and supporting the Mississippi Museum of Art, Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, and Mississippi Opera.

Resolution directs presentation of recognition to the Hearin Foundation administrative staff and the Capitol Press Corps.
