Eubanks is an acclaimed author, journalist, professor, and public speaker whose works include Ever Is a Long Time, The House at the End of the Road, and A Place Like Mississippi, focusing on Mississippi's history and culture

Has received numerous honors including a Guggenheim Fellowship and Radcliffe Fellowship from Harvard Radcliffe Institute, and published articles in major newspapers including the Washington Post and Chicago Tribune

Held leadership positions in publishing including Director of Publishing at the Library of Congress and Director of Book Publishing at the American Psychological Association

Resolution directs the document be presented to Eubanks at the Governor's Arts Awards ceremony and made available to the Capitol Press Corps
