Honors Marine Gunnery Sergeant Zachary Taylor of Jackson, Mississippi on his 100th birthday (February 12, 2023) as a Montford Point Marine who served during World War II.

Recognizes Taylor's service as a black Marine during segregated era, noting more than 19,000 black Marines served in the Marine Corps during World War II, with 2,000 seeing action at the seizure of Okinawa.

Notes Taylor graduated from Eastern Illinois University and worked as a Pharmacist in the Air Force and at the Jackson V.A. until retirement, and is father of six.

Honors Taylor with a Congressional Gold Medal presented by Naval Air Station Meridian and acknowledges the Montford Point Marines as trailblazers who served during a time when African Americans were excluded from the Marine Corps.

Directs the resolution be presented to Sergeant Taylor, forwarded to the National Montford Point Marine Association, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
