Commemorates Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., on the occasion of "2023 Alpha Kappa Alpha Day at the Mississippi State Capitol" held on March 21, 2023, to promote advocacy and action for human rights and social justice.

Recognizes Alpha Kappa Alpha as the oldest Greek letter organization in the United States, founded January 15, 1908, at Howard University, and currently led by International President Danette Anthony Reed.

Acknowledges the South Eastern Region's 116 chapters (48 undergraduate and 68 graduate) comprising over 14,000 members across Tennessee, Mississippi, and Alabama, led by Dr. Tracey Morant Adams.

Recognizes Mississippi's 35 Alpha Kappa Alpha chapters and their contributions including over 2.5 million hours of community service since the first chapter's establishment in Mississippi in 1934.

Honors notable Mississippi-born regional leaders including Dr. Glenda Baskin Glover, the 30th International President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
