West Lauderdale High School Girls Soccer Team won the MHSAA Class 4A Girls Soccer State Championship on February 4, 2023, defeating Stone County High School 5-0.

Team compiled a 23-2-1 season record, outscoring opponents 151-14 overall and 19-0 in state playoff play, earning their fifth state title and first since 2020.

Head Coach Brandon Rodgers and Assistant Coach Celeste Boswell are commended for developing the team's skills and fostering a winning, cooperative spirit with high sportsmanship.

Senate commends and congratulates the 30-member roster and coaching staff for their achievement and extends best wishes for continued success.

Resolution directs that copies be presented to Head Coach Brandon Rodgers, West Lauderdale High School Principal Shane Rodgers, the Lauderdale County School Board, and Capitol Press Corps.
