Commemorates the 175th (Quartoseptcentennial) anniversary of Beulah Baptist Church in Myrtle, Mississippi, known as the "Lighthouse on the Hill"

Church was founded in August 1848 as United Baptist Church Beulah by ten members, with its first meeting house built in March 1849 on land donated by the Collins family

The congregation has occupied four different church buildings over its history: two log churches (1849 and ~1872), a white frame church (~1904), and two brick structures (1958 and 1978)

Church has maintained continuous operation without closing, even during the Civil War and both World Wars

Extends best wishes from the Mississippi Senate to Pastor Marty Merritt and the congregation, with a copy of the resolution to be presented to church leadership
