Commends and congratulates Kiana Pendleton, Principal of Laurel Magnet School of the Arts in Laurel, Mississippi, for being named the 2023 Curriculum Associates Class of Extraordinary Educators Program Inspire Award Winner.

Notes that the 2023 Class of Extraordinary Educators comprises 30 K-8 educators and one administrator nationally who demonstrate growth through formal assessments, classroom innovation, commitment to high standards, and best-in-class use of i-Ready and Ready instructional resources.

Recognizes that under Dr. Pendleton's leadership, Laurel Magnet School of the Arts achieved an "A" rating in 2018-2019, the highest in over a decade, and has maintained that rating since.

States that Dr. Pendleton's award selection provides her with local and national recognition, peer networking opportunities, professional development, and participation in the Extraordinary Educators Leadership Summit.

Directs that the resolution be presented to Kiana Pendleton and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
