Recognizes Dr. Kent Hoblet's 17 years of service as Dean of Mississippi State University's College of Veterinary Medicine as he transitions to part-time faculty effective January 1, 2023.

Acknowledges significant achievements under his leadership including increased revenue, faculty positions, student enrollment, research productivity, study abroad opportunities, and facility improvements.

Highlights college accomplishments including launching the veterinary medical technology program, developing a shelter medicine program, initiating the DVM/Ph.D. program, and establishing the Animal Emergency and Referral Center in Flowood and Veterinary Specialty Center in Starkville.

Notes Dr. Hoblet's prior career at Ohio State University where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Master's Degrees, served as faculty from 1983-2006, and chaired the Department of Veterinary Preventative Medicine.

Extends best wishes from the Mississippi Senate to Dr. Hoblet and his family as they transition to retirement, with resolution to be presented to Dr. Hoblet, MSU President, and Board of Trustees.
