Authorizes Department of Public Safety division inspectors to assist any officer of the department at the discretion and direction of the commissioner.

Authorizes inspectors to purchase and use speed detection equipment on commercial vehicles they are authorized to inspect.

Adds commercial motor carrier inspectors to the list of authorized officers permitted to administer breath analysis tests for DUI enforcement.

Makes technical corrections to language regarding public highways, roads, and streets in the implied consent law.

Effective July 1, 2024.
