Authorizes the Department of Corrections to sell hobbycraft activities made by inmates to the public, with profits deposited into the Inmate Welfare Fund.

Defines "hobbycraft activities" to include ceramics, leatherwork, models, clay, mosaics, crochet, knitting, sculptures, woodworking, lapidary, and other forms consistent with Department guidelines.

Requires all applicable state and local taxes to be assessed on net profits from hobbycraft sales before deposit into the Inmate Welfare Fund.

Amends Section 47-5-158 to include hobbycraft sale profits among revenues deposited into the Inmate Welfare Fund alongside canteen operations and penitentiary band performances.

Effective July 1, 2024.
