Amends Section 99-36-7 of the Mississippi Code to allow the District Attorney of the Seventh Circuit Court District to appoint one additional victim assistance coordinator for a total of two coordinators in that district.

Increases the number of additional victim assistance coordinators for the First Circuit Court District from one to two, allowing a total of three coordinators in that district.

Increases the number of additional victim assistance coordinators for the Fourteenth Circuit Court District from one to two, allowing a total of three coordinators in that district, subject to approval by boards of supervisors.

Victim assistance coordinators ensure victims, guardians, and relatives of deceased victims receive rights granted under Section 99-36-5, working with law enforcement, prosecutors, and the judiciary.

Takes effect July 1, 2024.
