Authorizes sheriffs and their deputies to use radar speed detection equipment on county public roads, streets, and highways located outside incorporated municipality limits.

Requires county boards of supervisors to adopt an order authorizing radar equipment use by the sheriff before such equipment may be deployed.

Grants the Department of Public Safety authority to investigate reported abuse of radar speed detection equipment and remove devices from offending sheriffs if abuse is determined.

Maintains existing authorizations for radar use by Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol, municipal law enforcement in municipalities over 1,500 population, and college/university campus police.

Takes effect July 1, 2024.
