Allows courts to void actions taken by public bodies in violation of open meetings law if the court determines the public interest requires voiding the action.

Grants aggrieved parties six months from the Mississippi Ethics Commission's finding of violation to bring a lawsuit for enforcement.

Exempts actions involving issuance of bonds or other evidence of indebtedness from being voided if a public hearing, election, or public sale was held regarding those bonds.

Maintains existing Ethics Commission authority to enforce open meetings law, order compliance measures, and impose civil penalties up to $500 for first offense and $1,000 for subsequent offenses.

Takes effect July 1, 2024.
