Prohibits closing any polling place within 60 days before primary, general, runoff, or special elections unless exigent circumstances exist

Requires governing authorities or boards of supervisors to document reasons for closing polling places in their meeting minutes if exigent circumstances are found

Mandates public notice of polling place closures be posted at city hall, courthouse, registrar's office, and the closed location, plus published in local newspapers for three consecutive weeks (or weekly if closure occurs within three weeks of election)

Applies the polling place closure restrictions to multiple Mississippi Code sections governing municipal elections, county supervisors districts, and voting precinct management

Takes effect July 1, 2024
