Expands Mississippi's abandoned motor vehicle law to include vehicles left unattended on private property for at least 60 days, in addition to existing provisions for public property and commercial repair facilities.

Authorizes private landowners to sell abandoned vehicles on their property through public auction or private sale after compliance with notification procedures, with proceeds going to the landowner rather than the county.

Requires private landowners to be represented by an attorney when making inquiries to the State Tax Commission regarding vehicle status and titling procedures.

Maintains existing notification requirements for registered owners and lienholders through registered mail or newspaper publication, and allows owners or lienholders to claim vehicles before sale by paying towing, repair, storage, and other necessary expenses.

Effective date: July 1, 2024.
