Authorizes the Secretary of State to reimburse counties and municipalities for costs of removing trees that pose immediate danger to life or property on tax forfeited land certified to the state.

Allows the Secretary of State to withhold up to 10% of proceeds from tax forfeited property sales to fund tree removal costs.

Requires allocation of remaining maintenance funds with 30% to the county or municipality with the highest number of tax forfeited parcels and 70% divided equally among those with the second through tenth highest number of parcels.

Limits reimbursements to no more than 3 consecutive years per county or municipality and prioritizes parcels adjacent to public universities and colleges and areas with increased economic growth.

Establishes that individual reimbursements cannot exceed 50% of the market value of the property and takes effect July 1, 2024.
